The Korean War lasted from 1950 to 1953 and a treaty was signed that ended the war National Korean War Veterans Armistice Daybetween the two countries. Since then the day is celebrated each year by community in the month of July. The ambassador of Republic of Korea Lee Tae Sik also takes part in the ceremony.
