National Aviation Day in the United States of America is a national observation that celebrates the history and development of Aviation. This special day was created by US President, Franklin D. Roosevelt. This day is celebrated on the 19th of August each year since its enactment in 1939. The Aviation Day occurred the same day of the birth of Orville Wright. The Wright Brothers, Orville and Wilbur, both made significant contributions to powered flight. So this day is celebrated in the memory of both these, and is named as National Aviation Day in US.

National Aviation Day 2017 in United States of America is going to take place on Saturday i.e. 19th August 2017. The day will be celebrated by the First Flight Society at the Weight Brothers National Memorial Park.

On National Aviation Day, there will be activities for youth as well as old people. Local Military and Aviation organizations will be represented.
